How to find the key code you need
A round barrel key, also called a tubular key, is cut to a single code and opens only the locks stamped with that same code. The code is printed on the face of the lock cylinder, on the barrel of your original key, or on a paper tag supplied with the machine.
- Codes are short alphanumeric sequences such as 5101, 1701, A0006 or X000020.
- Leading zeros are part of the code: 0802 and 802 are not always the same key.
- If a previous operator replaced the lock, the code on the cabinet paperwork may no longer match the lock that is fitted. Always read the code off the lock itself.
- Codes one digit apart are different keys. Check twice before ordering.
Compatibility
Barrel locks of this type are fitted across IGT, Bally, WMS, Aristocrat, Konami and Ainsworth cabinets, as well as standalone drop boxes and equipment from other suppliers. Compatibility depends on the lock code, not on the machine model or manufacturer.
